Hobby breeding; an art or insanity?

Hey guys, I'm a huge hobby breeder. Beeen doing for a very long time. IMHO some of the best genetics come from hobby breeders. Here is where we can discuss the fine art of hobby breeding, or the methods to our madness.

I am just getting into hobby breeding and haven't done any breeding yet but I hope to within the next 6-8 months. I agree that some of the best genetics can show up in this fashion and I can't imagine the feeling of your own strain really turning out great. Right now I've got about half a dozen different seed strains sitting around and when I plant them I'm hoping for a nice male (I won't complain if there's a female though ).

Anyway I'm hoping to learn a lot more on breeding in the coming months. I've been told The Cannabis Breeders Bible is a good reference tool.

I've got a plant right now that is one of a kind (at the moment anyway) A master OG female was pollenated "accidentally" by my herijuana ibl male when I had him early in the flower cab, one pod must have opened next to the master og that was right next to it, resulting in just one single seed. This plant is now 3 weeks from seed (straight put into soil with no soaking) and now has secondary branching almost as tall as the main cola! I'll take pics and post them later this morning with measurements and dates to make sure, but this is one vigorous plant, my friends! Also just harvested my bubbalachia x krazy kush that was heavily seeded from being pollenated by the same herijuana ibl male that was one crazy frosty dude, my friends. pics to come!

Master OG and Herijuana, that is going to be one insane strain. Keep us posted on how it turns out. I'm really interested in hearing about the end result. Sounds like Charlie's Tiger blood and Adonis DNA, lol!

I can't wait to see these Phil. For those who do not know, Krazy Kush is one of Smokes creations and is an incredible strain that improves anything it touches in breeding. I can only imagine how Herijuana would add to these especially in potency.

Thanks for the reminder - got a lot going on right now but I'll get to it here. been kind of difficult lately, have to work of wifes laptop and she wants it back when she gets home, so I have to make do! lol!!
